I've recently become very interested with fun and awesome D.I.Y projects. I think they're really enjoyable and are a fraction of the cost of getting something ready made. Although, I'm not super nifty with crafty projects *trust me, I'm not* I CAN handle simple stuff. So I'm not a complete failure :)
Recently, I've been taking sewing classes offered at my school. It's all part of my dream to become a fashion designer. So far, I've made a pin cushion, a Valentines Day heart-shaped mini-pillow and am currently in the process of completing a cellphone pouch. I know it isn't much, but for me, it's a long way from not being able to sew anything to all that. Which makes me immensely proud and gives me that *warm, fuzzy feeling inside* :P
Here is the pin cushion I made ALL BY MYSELF *proud mama moment*
Anyways, I've been discovering some little gems of blogs these days, that offer TONS of amazingly cool D.I.Y projects to try out.
Namely: A Beautiful Mess, Trinkety Pop, P.S I Made This and more :)
A Beautiful Mess is one of the featured blogs on the Les Blogs Que J'adore page so if you wanna know more about it, you can head on over there.
Trinkety Pop is a really refreshing and helpful blog that's run by a girl in our school called Tessa. It's got lovely photography as well, which showcases Botswana's lovely natural scenery, so I highly recommend checking it out :)
P.S I Made This is probably the BEST D.I.Y blogs I've come across. Everything is so totally inspired and cute and simple to make!
Which is why I will be sharing one of their projects that I found *my favourite one, of course* with you guys! :D
I absolutely ADORE graffiti styled accessories. I think they're so hip and fun and uber stylish :) Which is why I chose this project of graffiti-fying plain bangles and making them into rockin' accessories to show off :)

P.S If you're thinking of making something, it's always best to get a couple of friends over and have a D.I.Y party! Whether you're having makeovers or making friendship bracelets, your biggest motivation should be the end result. It's AMAZING when you've finished something and there's the feeling of knowing that you made it all by yourself :)

“The greatest love of all is easy to achieve. Learning to
love yourself is the greatest love of all”. Whitney said it best… but
so did Oscar! Mr. de la Renta’s go-to quotes were etched into resin bangles that boasted his words and beliefs.
This Valentine’s Day, DIY your heart out, literally. It’s
time to stop wearing your heart on your sleeve and start sporting it
‘round your wrist… with a touch of repetition. Mark my words, by
marking yours with a graffiti style love note accessory. P.S. -
Remember more is more, so scribble ‘em, stack ‘em and love ‘em lots!
To create: Apply two smooth coats of spray paint to wooden bangles. Be sure to wait until paint is completely dry before picking up. Use Sharpie Paint pens to
scribble your love notes and quotes all around the bracelet. For an
extra detail, inscribe the inside as well. Get creative with your color
combinations and messages. Create a bevy of bangles for yourself and
friends. What better way to say “I will always love you”, than with a
wristed development that’s to DIY for!
So, I hope you liked it as much as I did!!!
*Please note: This entire D.I.Y project is NOT mine. All credit goes to P.S I Made This blog.*
