Lately, I've been missing ballet and dance a lot. Like, a LOT lot.
People underestimate ballet so much. They don't know much discipline, grace, hard work, commitment, strength, emotion and elegance it takes to do ballet.
The thing is, dance is never just about the steps. It's about pouring your heart and soul into each and every pointed toe and sway of the arm to make the dance come alive and tell a story. And when it hurts, when you feel exhilarated and immensely tired yet somehow so very happy, that's when you know.
That you have really DANCED.
